DON’T ABORT YOUR FUTURE

Do we believe these words? That GOD, the Creator of everything, cannot lie? That means all the personal promises HE made will come to pass. The question is: Will it come to pass in your generation due to your obedience or will it skip you and pass down to your children due to their obedience?

“Not one shall come into the land where I swore that I would make you dwell, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. 31 But your little ones, who you said would become a prey, I will bring in, and they shall know the land that you have rejected.” Numbers 14:30-31 (ESV)

Yes, every promise made by GOD is conditional for timing only, not fulfilment. HE cannot lie. And the condition is obedience.

All throughout Scripture, we see one generation either building upon the fulfilment of a promise (like David and Solomon); or, as Numbers 14:30-31 shows, the next generation receiving the blessings the previous generation missed out on.  

“Blessed shall be the fruit of your body [children], the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.” Deuteronomy 28:4 (NKJV)

GOD wants to give us generational blessing, as in goodness and mercies that follow us even after we die. This is the kind of blessing that is passed down to our children. Not only that – HE created a built-in strategy for adult care, as adult children begin to care for their aging parents. Why cut short the Hand of GOD to bless your future simply because of present inconveniences?

Yes, it maybe a hard pregnancy. Yes, there are issues many would not understand. But GOD, who gave you this baby, has a plan that is better than any of ours.

HE has a new beginning, hope for tomorrow, and help for today.
