Warning: This is yet another long blog post. Please read to the end for practical steps on what to do for cleansing your home and land.

Last week we started our conversation about prophetic actions and how they relate to cleansing our homes and land.

This week, let’s take a look at some prophetic symbols and how we can apply them by faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Remember, these are prophetic actions. Without an understanding of what they represent, and faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, they will not produce results in your life.

What Is a Prophetic Act or Action?

A prophetic act or action is doing what the HOLY SPIRIT is saying to do when HE says to do it. A prophetic action can be applied by faith based on what is written in GOD's WORD in the HOLY BIBLE. For example, participating in communion is a prophetic action that is done based on specific instructions in the Bible. It can also be done by HOLY SPIRIT instruction at a specific time and location. GOD did this with HIS prophets all the time!

Elisha prophetically:

-Shot an arrow through an open window to represent victory in battle (2 Kings 13:14-19).

-Used salt to purify and heal water (2 Kings 2:19-22).

-Told Naaman what ELOHIM wanted done in order for him to be healed and cleansed of leprosy. Naaman obeyed and was healed (2 Kings 5:9-14).

Jeremiah prophetically made a yoke and fastened it on his neck (Jeremiah 27:1-2).

Moses prophetically lifted up his rod and stretched out his hand over the Red Sea to divide it (Exodus 14:15-16).

‍

JESUS prophetically:

-Spat on the ground, made clay with the saliva, placed the clay on the eyes of a blind man, and told him to wash. The blind man obeyed and was healed (John 9:6-7).

-Gave thanks and multiplied a little boy’s lunch so that it would feed thousands (John 6:8-11).  

Agabus prophetically demonstrated the manner in which Paul would be delivered to the Jews (Acts 21:10-11).

What Are Common Symbols and Symbolic Actions? 

ANOINTING OIL

Oil is a symbol of the HOLY SPIRIT (Psalm 23:5, Isaiah 61:1-11). Anointing with oil is a symbolic action that is prophetically used to: 

-Consecrate and set apart (Exodus 40:9, Matthew 6:17, Hebrews 1:9, Acts 10:38, Exodus 30:30).  

-Release individuals into HOLY assignments from the LORD (1 Samuel 10:1, Exodus 29:7). 

-Heal (James 5:14, Mark 6:12-13). 

-Break yokes of bondage.

“It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” Isaiah 10:27

‍

SALT

Salt is prophetically used to covenant things unto the LORD; for purification; and to cleanse and preserve. See, for example:

-All grain offerings were to be seasoned with salt – the salt of the covenant with the LORD (Leviticus 2:13).

-Everyone shall be salted with fire (Mark 9:49-50 ESV).

-The offerings were a permanent covenant of salt (Numbers 18:19).

-Elisha cleansed the spring of water by throwing salt into the water (2 Kings 2:20-22).

-The LORD GOD gave the kingship of Israel forever to David by a covenant of salt (2 Chronicles 13:5).

FIRE

Fire prophetically represents GOD’s power, judgement, demonic covenant breaking, acceptance of sacrifices, HOLY SPIRIT Power, and protection of GOD.

See, for example:

-Our GOD is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29).

-HOLY SPIRIT Fire is within us. HE has made us ministers of flaming fire (Psalm 104:4). Tongues of Fire appeared over the believers at the display of the initial infilling of the HOLY SPIRIT (Acts 2:3).

-HIS WORD is like fire shut up in my bones (Jeremiah 23:29).

-Fire from GOD consumed the sacrifice (2 Chronicles 7:1).

-Fire will test our faith and our actions (1 Corinthians 3:11-15).

-The lake of fire is the judgement of GOD (Revelation 21:8).

-Fire is the protection of GOD for HIS children (Isaiah 43:2, 2 Kings 1:9-10).

-The Fire of GOD breaks demonic covenants.

“And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.” Acts 19:18-20

SHOFAR OR TRUMPET

When GOD – ELOHIM ADONAI – our YAHWEH gives instructions by HOLY SPIRIT to blow the trumpet (i.e., shofar), HE is charging the atmosphere with angelic presence for a purpose. Read the Scriptures below for a better understanding. The book of Revelation is filled with angels blowing shofars. Spend some time in Revelation as well.

-The human version of the shofar is made of a ram’s horn. This is especially interesting, considering that a ram was one of the animals used for sacrifice before the altar of the LORD.  

-The first time the shofar is mentioned in Scripture is when GOD (YAHWEH) descended on Mount Sinai to speak with HIS children. After they consecrated themselves, the sound of the trumpet came from Heaven on top of the mountain (Exodus 19:16-19).

-The LORD told Moses that, each time HIS children blow the shofar, HE will release the angelic armies to go with them to war (Numbers 10:1-10).

-The shofar was used by John to describe the Voice of JESUS CHRIST (Revelation 1:10-11).

-The shofar is also used for revelation/announcements in the spirit realm. Angels blow the shofar as well (Revelation 4:1).

Practical Application

Now that you have an understanding, here is a recommendation on how to apply this to your land.

1. Go and purchase olive oil from your grocery store. Pray over it, telling the LORD by the HOLY SPIRIT and with your heart in full conviction, that this oil is covenanted to the LORD JESUS CHRIST. It will not be used for any other purpose except prayer – no cooking, or anything else.

2. Anoint the walls, windows, and doors of your home with anointing oil. Don’t paint your walls and doors with oil; it may damage your paint. A tiny dab is fine. It’s not the quantity of oil. This is just a point-of-contact for faith, so please be sensible.

When doing this, declare what the oil represents, which is the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST as HE instructed in Exodus 12. Here is one of my favorite Scriptures to add:

“See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭16‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

‍

Confess that the EYES of the LORD are on your walls, your home, your car, etc.

3. Again, purchase some salt from your grocery store. Pray over it and dedicate it to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, just like you did with the oil.

4. Salt the grass or land that you have/live on/own. Don’t put huge chunks of salt on your land. It may kill your grass. Please be sensible.

When sprinkling salt on the corners of your land, or wherever HOLY SPIRIT leads you on your land (a legal place where you live), pray and covenant the land to the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Ask the LORD to take this land, to be LORD over this land and to displace any other spirit that was previously worshiped on that land.

If you live in an apartment, find a tiny spot and claim it for the LORD.

The HOLY SPIRIT is the KING SPIRIT. Once we do this, HE is responsible for driving away any demonic spirit on that land that affects you. They will not be able to affect you any longer.

Since you don’t own all the land (in the case of an apartment complex), the cleansing affects you and yours at a minimum, for as long as you live there.
