I See the Evidence of the LORD in You

August 15, 2020

32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. 33 I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. 34Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. 35 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”  Acts 20:32-35 (NKJV)

What made Paul keep going back? What did he see? What did he know that many of us, including myself, have lost over the years? Why did Paul, the one who wrote two-thirds of the New Testament, keep going back to places where he knew persecution was waiting for him?

He saw the LORD.

On the Damascus Road, Paul met face-to-FACE with JESUS the CHRIST.
I think of Dr. David Livingston (1813-1873), who left everything comfortable to share JESUS with Africans, exposing Portuguese slave trade routes and paying for it with his life. He died in his mud hut in the middle of Africa, while kneeling to pray.

Have we seen the LORD?

I think of the woman with skin eating cancer on her face, the disabled ten-year-old girl, whose entire world is limited to her bed, or even the disabled widow whom you, the WeRemnant Family, continue to feed even during COVID-19.

When we see the LORD, the encounter changes us. We realize that all lives don’t just matter; rather, they are equal in the eyes of the LORD who died for all of us on the same Cross, on the same day, at the same time. After all, we were all created in HIS Image.

Have we seen the LORD?

When we see the LORD, we continue to pray, fast, give and go to the ends of the world. We do all this to express, witness, and demonstrate all of HIM to everyone. We do all this, even when it hurts, even when we are not accepted, even when it’s not comfortable. We still give and we still go.

Thank you for being the people who have seen the LORD and choose to express HIM through your giving. Thank you for being the Hands and Feet of JESUS to everyone the LORD puts our way to serve.

Want to take it one step further?

Consider coming to our 2020 Healing and Deliverance Conference to meet some of the missionaries we support. The 2021 medical and building mission trip to Kenya is also an opportunity to go on prophetic missions and serve the people the LORD has sent us.

Until we go, until we spend ourselves for JESUS and HIS people, we cannot really, truly see the LORD. The encounter must cost us something. In return, it must change us.
Prayerfully consider joining your WeRemnant Family on these journeys to encounter GOD.
